Yet none of your replies are in regards to older acts still making money on their tours.
Whether you consider them a joke, or washed up whatever doesn't much matter in regards to the thread. That was not what I my O.P. was talking about. NKOTB was only selling out 65% of their shows, and still making a decent chunk o' change. I was surprised that some of these older acts are still making as much money as they do, and based on the long length of their tours, it appears that is where they make the most of their money.
Although, I guess the same can be said of these breaking artists who tour for long period of time. I read some article where Sugarland, which is a fairly big country act, made most of their money on their tours as well. I guess being in those artist slave contracts really do not pay in the beginning.
