I first heard of this on the TODAY show this morning and one of the anchors said AT&T
said the lawsuit is without merit because many apps are running in the background or being updated.
Yesterday on my local news they did a story about a pest control company that comes out and sprays your lawn for weeds and pests. Some lady caught her pest control guy on her surveillance camera pulling up to her house, sitting in his truck for 20 minutes and then getting out to place a sign on her lawn and front door that the lawn had been sprayed. She payed $42 a month for nothing.
Same with gas stations jacking their pumps.
What I don't understand is why this isn't a criminal act instead of civil dispute. If I walk into a store and shoplift some merchandise from the retailer its considered criminal and I get arrested. If a retailer steals my money its a civil matter and I have to take them to court to get action.
