no, it's because most atheists are so strong in their beliefs that they feel that it is their mission to preach to the world that everyone who believes in a religion is either stupid or dangerous, when more often than not that is the exact opposite.
whoever brought up that phony number should be ashamed of themselves... Priests and ministers help more people than any of you would in your entire lives so choose your battles.
Compare the abuse numbers to babysitters, you will find more people getting attacked by them than priests. The point SHOULD be that people shouldn't leave their kids alone with strangers, no matter who it is.
