If companies still care about their awards in the future I think I will be skipping over those companies and doing business with someone else.

I would tend to disagree with you. The XBiz awards are the biggest (only?) award and ceremony that covers online entertainment, innovation and technology. Companies like CCBill and Segpay won because let's face it, they deserve it. They are always on top of their game. In the video chat category, MFC beat us and Video Secrets this year. No surprise, they are really good at what they do.
Winning an Xbiz award is very good for business. Our sales went up over 200% since we won ours. Customers even told us that they choose us over our competitors because of the Xbiz award.
There's even a little something more. If you know that you have a chance of being nominated or winning, it gives you a little personal kick in the butt to try harder in your business and to make your product as good as it can be. An award is a nice target to reach for.
