Well they get a 3% cut written straight into the tax code. Then many states give oil companies major breaks on land/property, when they already denied others, which would have made the state more tax dollars on that land for the state vs. the fed.
Come on... they get a lot of benefits, tax breaks, subsidies all of which is oil welfare. Some may pay, others get major benefits.
