advertisers always want you to believe that the before and after represent the benefits or costs of the thing the advertiser is trying to sell you. if you trust government advertisers more than any other "before/after" advertiser, thats your decision to make.

if those photos keep you from taking meth, that's a good thing, I suppose. I personally stopped trusting government advertising long ago.

however, your beliefs and fears will have little to no effect on the criminal marketplace for meth created by prohibition. the faces of meth campaign doesn't seem to have decreased demand.

your fears and government advertising help keep the prison industry going tho, so if you are a big fan of building more prisons and increasing the role of prison in government, there's that.
