Hence, the relevancy of the CPI numbers (both headline and excluding food and energy from 2009 to 2011) to answer your original question AND to show you that your claims about inflation TODAY are also MISGUIDED.
One last time, the links to the BLS include CPI for both headline inflation and inflation excluding food and energy. If you look in the monthly releases for 2011 you can see that.
And, since you clearly do not comprehend what you read and probably need a picture, there is a graph on page 5 of the
March 2011 release that shows both CPI's for the last 10 years.
