Taking the word of one poster claiming to be in Al Qaeda is like taking the word of one person claiming to represent Anonymous.
Having said that, I'm not sure I would trust a western news outlet to report anything accurate about his death at this stage.
Dead or alive, I wouldn't take something said on the internet as the truth.
