I guess it depends on how reasonably you set your sights / how you apply it.
Dreaming of being a rockstar, possible but unlikely, but that doesn't mean you can't make music. Want to be the president, also improbable, but that doesn't mean you can't be politically active on a local level. If you want to be famous, there's always reality TV ;)
I mean, take Unknown Hinson for example. I'm not sure what he did before he was Unknown Hinson, but he wasn't a young man when he first donned the garb. He's not a superstar but he certainly has is following.
