Bin Laden - does it matter?

In truth does it matter if he is dead or not?

The news claims he was no longer in charge.

Several options could be:

1. He was shot as they claim.

2. He was already dead.

3. He is still alive.

So what?

However, I suspect it was real.

And if it was, were they ordered to sahoot him or try to take him alive.

In truth shooting him may have been easer as what would they do if they took him alive? If they had put him on trial and excecuted him he would have been a martor. But he they had not excucuted him people in the USA would I suspect been angy.

Its probably a bigger deal in the USA than out ogf the USA.

In the UK there was 'disgust' not at him being killed but those dancing around in joy. It has gone against the UK belife in justice rather than the USA gun slinging, shoot them first attetude.

However I suspect using the army as they did rather than bomb the place while more risky was far better. If inicent people had been killed it would have been a terrible public relations disaster. The quewstion is were his wife(s) and children killed too.

But will history see him as a villan or hero?

Bin Laden belived the west should not be involved in being in his countries. So for many he will be a hero.

Its a bit like vietnam, who were the villans?

After all we condem Hitler. But Hitler quotes the USA in getting rid of the Jews. For only 20 years before Hitler was born the USA did the same to the native Indians. And Hitler states he only did what the USA did.

History and who rights it is an odd old thing.

After all you could say the USA never did become one. And the split between the Noth (liberal) and South (Smasll goverment and freemarket) still remains.
