understood. My personal beliefs is that we live by the rule of law, in the military that rule of law is based on the UCMJ and I agree with it. As for capital punishment for civilians (like myself) I am torn over it. In some cases I just cannot bring myself to think that life in prison is enough. Of course I am talking about extreme cases. But even then I would hope that it would be more of a deterrent to others... putting a criminal to sleep is not going to deter anyone
