I myself haven't paid for porn for atleast 1 or maybe 2 years. And the main reason is I have got enough of my own videos on either dvd/video/phone/etc. That I have made myself/personal stuff.
In this day and age anyone with anything from a phone to a proper video camera can make their own porn.
Not being funny but this alone could cause more of a drop in sales than any other factor people moan about.
And with the personal stuff you are more conected to the content.
When porn first made it's way to the internet mobile/cellphones didn't have cameras, video cameras were expensive, and the general person couldn't record their own videos.
Then if you want to talk pictures, when digital became available that probably caused some kind of drop aswell. No need to worry about developing your homemade stuff. Just upload it and enjoy!
These days you are probably no more than 10 feet away from something you can either take a picture with or shoot a video with. No matter what the quality.
It is soo easy to create and keep your own erotic memories and replay them whenever you want to that there is almost no need for porn at all.
NOTE: I know there is obviously still a market and there is definately still people who want porn. Just saying
