The justice system is a joke all around.
I was on jury duty a few years ago - long story short:
Dude was sitting on the stoop of a shit hole apartment getting his hair cut by some chick. Cops roll up. Everyone assembled beats feet, except the dude. Cops chase a few people, give up, come back and put cuffs on the guy, ask him if they can search the apt. Dude answers, "What do I care, I don't live here."
Cops find a suitcase of woman's clothing, bag of crack and a POS .22 handgun, arrest the guy and charge him for both.
His car is in the driveway, registered to a diff shit hole apartment, they don't search it.
In court the public pretender produces the car's registration and a lease for a shit hole apartment across town where the guy lives.
Verdict: guilty on possession, guilty on gun charge and enhanced as a prohibited possessor cos the guy was a felon.
