(so about 81% of the worlds ice overall) That ice shield has been been getting thicker at a rate of 1.8 centimeters per year for the last decade, which constitutes about 45 BILLION metric tons of ice being added per year.


This VASTLY outweighs the ice being lost at the north pole. Ice is simply shifting from one pole to the other.... which is something that has happened many times over the history of this planet.
