Alas my powers of self-delusion are lacking.
It could have been an enjoyable movie if it wasn't so obviously an ego movie. The way that fuckhead portrayed himself as morally head and shoulders above everyone else in the entire world, an island of sanctimonious awesomeness in world full of assholes like... everyone else. This extreme self righteous bullshit is likely the same rationale Chris Mallick has used to rip off everyone he has ever worked with. He very likely has convinced himself that everyone who feels they were ripped off is a fraud. It is also likely that this complete delusion that he is an honest businessman has helped him quite a bit to convince others to trust him. The movie made me think he believes his own bullshit which is a weird mix of sad and infuriating.
It reminded me of a movie I saw as a kid "the secret life of Walter Mitty" and could have been one of Don Knott's daydreams in that movie, or maybe even the Indian version of "Thriller" that has been all over the net for so long. Or pretty much anything where people have no idea how fucking ridiculous they are.
