I did 2 $1 domains yesterday using 2 of my godaddy accounts.
Just open another account and save yourself the hassle of having to ask favors and getting bashed. If you don't want to maintain 2 accounts then once you have the domain push it to yourself.

I tried that and failed. I guess because I used the same credit card. Took me back to the cart page and completely removed the coupon place =(
