you're right, i did luck out.
i say that to myself pretty much every day. but re: barking. my guy is ~4 years old and we never lived near barking dogs until ~1 year ago and he never barked except when the doorbell rang kinda thing. now, with barking dogs, he chimes in with them all the time and also seems to start barking easier now. it's not bad, but just something i noticed, thus the set each other off comment. + when we come across a 4 pack of chis on leash held by 1 owner- they go OFF! too funny.
