Some cam sites added "tipping", it didn't *save them* it allowed them to make additional revenue from a large sector of the market they were neglecting before, the people who can't afford to spend $3, $4 etc a minute for a private show.

Not exactly. When I first saw MFC back in 2007 ish I didn't think it was a great concept. I didn't think that other members would be cool with free loaders. I thought, why would someone put money up for everyone else to see. I didn't think it would be that successful, but obviously after watching the site grow and become popular over a couple years and spending some time in the chat rooms you could see that people didn't care, if others contributed or not and in fact that some people liked to throw money around via tips because it made them feel like a big shot to the other people in the room. I under estimated mans sense of bragging and trying to feel important in a room full of other guys.
What Leon developed turned out to be a very lucrative, genius, yet very simple concept.
