Basically it was shot out of order in regards to the timeline.
If you watch the video, it appears they follow this 'innocent' young girl, on her first trip to the USA, (Felicity was her stage name I think) in her hunt for stardom. She 'apparently' goes to straight Max Hardcore, expecting a 'normal' B/G scene, and is freaked out, leaves the business and never works again...
Wrong. On Many levels.
It wasn't her first trip at all, it was her second. During her first trip she discovered that she enjoyed the rougher side of the industry, and that she got turned on by 'abusive sex'...
She had actually appeared in one of the (Anabolic?) 'Rough Sex' videos where she was being punched in the mouth, during the scene. She loved it and couldn't wait to do more...
Upon returning on her 2nd trip, (When the doc was filmed) she knew EXACTLY who Max was, what his shoots were like and could not wait to work with him. Infact her shoot with Max was actually delayed by the Doc people, so they could be sure that they were ready for shooting her shoot.
Max had met with her before and knew that she was into it, and up for it. If she had not been up for it, or more to the point, had Max not been sure she knew what was going to happen, he certainly would not have let the doc crew come along and film it.
Now during that delay, we were asked by the doc people to sit down with Felicity, and explain to her what she was letting herself in for. However, the filmed conversation, that was quite forced and stilted, despite lasting over an hour and taking place outside a starbucks was never used in the final edit.
That was understandable, because it didn't really make sense. We are there saying things like 'Max with throat fuck you untill your eyes run and have you puke on his cock... Is that ok with you?' and she's replying 'Too fucking right ! BRING IT ON' and laughing etc...
Obviously that didn't fit in with the story they wanted to tell, (Of her being this innocent victim) so we did another 1 hour filmed conversation with her (In a Denny's this time) where they told us that this time, they wanted us to try and 'Warn Her off of shooting with him'...
Well, my EX had shot with him on two occasions before, and was planning to shoot again at some point, and we didn't really want to do that, so we made a token effort, but that obviously wasn't very convincing (Because we didn't believe it ourselves) and again, this piece of film was not used either...
Finally they asked to shoot us again, this time without Felicity, and this time I was plied with beers... A LOT of beers. 2 Cases of beer turned up in the hotel room, (From nowhere) and lets just say that I was 'More than encouraged' to drink as many as I could and talk as much as I could about Max... Again, we spoke about Max, for around 2 hours, and they only used ONE SENTENCE from that part in the final version...
Well, thats not quite correct. They used one PART of one sentence. Its the only bit where I appear in the doc, and she says (The 'Soundbite') "I worked with Max Hardcore and he cut my mouth"...
But they cut off the rest of the sentence, which was "I worked with Max Hardcore and he cut my mouth, but the moment it happened he stopped filming straight away, dropped his Max' persona, went back to being 'Paul' apologised, and made sure I was alright."
So to sum up, Felicity knew what type of shoot she was going to do. Max knew that she was cool with it (Or he would not have let the doc crew on set) They *wanted* to portray us 'warning her against' doing the shoot, but never used that footage...
So the final result of her turning up for the shoot, being traumatised, then leaving the business (As portrayed in the Doc) was a bullshit twisting of the facts to portray her as a victim of the big bad porn industry. Not as a willing, consenting adult, who went to the shoot with her eyes wide open, knowing full well what she was about to do, and actually LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING IT
Also, when it cae to the actual shoot, in the doc, you see him walking up to her, before they start to shoot, and beginning to fuck her, in order for him to 'get in the mood'
It appears that they have never met before, and he is forcing himself upon her, before the cameras are even set up... But the reality is that during the to and fro of getting the shoot date sorted, (The week or so while we were having these silly on camera conversations at starbucks and dennys etc) she had spoken to Max on many occasions and had been flirting with him on the phone and telling him she wanted it hard rough, filthy etc...
So the part where it appears he just walks up and fucks her was actually a consensual 'meeting' after a week of sexually charged conversation with Felicity...
There is a lot more too, (Regarding the public schoolboy Documentary makers - Not re Max) but I think that essay covers why I know it was a misleading end product, designed to fit the 'Shock Horror - PORN IS BAD!' agenda of the documentary crew
