To summarize, Raymond Garnett was a retarded 20 year old man with the mental faculties of a 11-12 year old. 13 year old Erica Frazier told him to climb a ladder and enter her bedroom through a window, yada-yada, she gave birth nine months later. Garnett was tried for 2nd degree rape of a person under 14 by another 4 years older. Although defense tried to introduce testimony that the girl and her friends had told Garnett that she was 16 the court had it stricken as immaterial. Garnett was found guilty.
