Many programs only utilize this part or that part of NATS. There is a tremendous amount there, and those who harness it all do very well. Judging by what you've built so far I imagine you'd be one of those who implements more than the average program.
A couple of hours spent seeing the admin end of things might open your eyes to what you can do with it and save you a lot of time in the end, allowing you to focus on building & enhancing your end-user product rather than worrying about the backend development.

Off course even when i'm a control freak and love developing my own stuff ( Coded all my life ), NATS is always coming to my mind ... I guess i will eventually hook NATS in until i have my own solution fit the minimum standards which i always try them to be like the top guys out there, in this case, you NATS
