Slightly Offtopic: I bet those regional newspapers' online editions would make a mint just by selling backlinks. Big G loves online newspapers. Possible Revenue stream: not just backlinks but paid placements, feed mentions, ets.
Much better road to take than the one being taken by mainstream newspapers nowadays: bitching and moaning
