Because a lot of people didn't diversify at the right time. And I don't mean "diversify" by leaving porn. I mean...I did a LOT of different things in this business. Had my hand in everything from freesites to hosting to a content company to a paysite. And I learned every bit of it from the ground up...not by paying people to do things (like Fabian's lame ass). So I have a built in synergy of things always working. Right now my focus is on social networking traffic...and it's paying off pretty well. Viral marketing as well.
Basically most people just don't have the skills it takes to survive. I'm pretty good and my income is only a fraction of what it was just 3 years ago. A lot of people who were real good at one thing only and didn't know much about other things...they are hurt bad.
I'm hurt too by piracy. We ALL are. Even dumbass Fabian is going to start seeing diminishing returns. Of course whether or not he's in this for any long term remains to be seen, so maybe he don't give a shit.

The only "solution" right now is to have the skills and resources to "hang on". There's not a damn thing that I can do to stop piracy. So I protect my own content to the best of my ability and I use all my knowledge and experience to keep myself from drowning.
The only hope any of us really have is that new and updated copyright laws and international treaties are passed to put an end to this stealing.
