I understand the site clamping down on this. I am guessing this wasn't a first offence. If it was then maybe the punishment is a little extreme but the site make their own rules and if you work their site you must respect their rules.
Performers who do not show their face, normally have a reason, and that reason being that they are not the registered and approved performer.
It is also true what they say about performers showing faces making more money. The whole point of cams is the personal interaction between performer and member that is why there are not a lot of gloryhole cam sites
