How do you think China would even get a landing force to the US? They don't even have an operational aircraft carrier. US fighters and bombers would destroy any armada en route. China is still "studying" a scrapped carrier they purchased nearly 20 years ago.
China has made official statements that they are looking to develop the ability to sink a US carrier. Key phrase, "looking to develop".
China's airforce is antiquated and what they do have is of Russian origin and design.
How much value does China's "industrial might" have? China is a country that purchases their most sophisticated weapons systems from Russia. Migs vs. F15s? Now the US is building the F-22. Good night.
Industrial capacity is related to GDP not population. You can have a lot of people and no industry. America's GDP is about
10x China's.
