Ok here is the deal:

I use ANZ

they charge $15 for the cheque
BUT
you can get the money STRIGHT AWAY no waiting 30 days

the reason they can do this is because if the check DOES bounce then not only do you have to pay the money back BUt they also hit you up with an overdraw fee - which makes them more money anyhow
so they dont care!

its fantastic

i had been putting all my checks in anz and waiting for 30 days to go get the money until last month

and yes it was a Canadian Check and they DO pay them out in US funds

even if you are in tasmania lol
i did the same in QLD too

i cant see why NSW would be any different
