It seems pretty strange that the UK and France that were real bed fellows with Qaddafi are in such a hurry to take him out. Poor Qaddafi must be thinking why the international community did not act in such haste with Saddam? Maybe the UK and France want to make sure know one knows about all of the shady deals they had with Libya...

I was thinking this same exact thing earlier this morning... why Britain and France were so jumpy on issuing a no-fly. Particularly France. I'm not very familiar with French politics but I was wondering if geography played a part in it. They are fairly close together, is France afraid of even more Africans flooding in?
