there is a great film were all the tv news crews are in Iraq at the start of the war.
They have this US chap from the army, who everyone loves. he is the usa army spoksman for the media.
during the film all the stations are reporting that the usa has captured a bridge and a town in Iraq.
a local expert says, grab a map. he says where is the bridge in the town. it does not exsist.
all the media had reported what they had been told. but non even thought about looking at a map.
yes the usa had got the town. but they added the bridge to make it sound an even bigger victory.
and thats the problem. the uk, usa and others will have the army report all great stuff.
