As a multiple pc and mac owner, I'll never spend the money again on a Mac. But I would for my wife... it's strong, easy to use but hard enough she can't mess much up, perfect for computer newbies.

Not only this. I wanted to try Mac as I have always been on Windows and partial Linux. I also love the look of the Mac
Yes, I was looking at PC laptops with the same specs. and I could have saved maybe $300 going for PC. I 100% agree on the newbie part. Mac (and Ubuntu, maybe?) would be the best for someone all new to computers. But no regrets here, I love my new machine
