The death toll seems really low as of now. It has to easily end up at least 100,000 people. Those splintered piles of debris are houses and cars -- there had to be thousands of people in those houses and cars when it hit. Unbelievably sad.

yup.. when the indonesia stuff happened i remember them saying death toll was 100, then 1000, then a few days later it jumped to 10,000 then 50,000, then 100,000, then 250,000
ive been looking at pics and following it closely.. the death toll will be 100,000+
There are many missing, plus millions of survivors dont have food and water, and will die in the coming days.. many people are also trapped and havent been rescued, its all a mess..
The death toll right now is very low, but authorities claim one sanctuary or something like that alone has 10k dead people they need to clean up.. as they go through the towns the death will pile up.. the problem is they dont count the death toll until they get a dead body, it'll just keep creeping up slowly.
All those miles and miles of 15ft debris has thousands of people buried underneath as well, they just havent been discovered..
