You can do it from a local machine. I used the other one and didn't like using it from a local machine because it was almost all I could do(and my desktop is a beast).. so while increasing my productivity on one task, it decreased it on others. It's called something like AVS.. ah yes... here:

I'd recommend a Windows-based server to use it. Faster upload speeds... etc., etc..
