The absolutely worst nuclear disaster ever (Chernobyl), resulted in some 4k directly linked deaths. And up to 10k indirectly. Now Chernobyl was a fucking Graphite reactor not a lightwater reactor like the Japanese one. So let me sum up. THE JAPANESE REACTOR can NEVER, EVER become anything like Chernobyl. And thus the MAX casualty rate will be in the 100's even if the absolute meltdown happens.
