Google has made many changes over the years that have hit adult... Many targeted right to us, like they know the site is adult in nature. Then we also got hit with link farms/buying, duplicate content filters, many others and the recent update hit many people as well.
But... for every person you can find that has been hit, you'll find another that has taken a gain.
End of the day, don't base your business/traffic/life off of Google, and you'll be perfectly fine in the future.
