As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lorre first addressed the Sheen controversy after the February 14 broadcast of Two and a Half Men, when he wrote, "I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I've had chest x-rays, cardio stress tests, EKG's and colonoscopies. I see a psychologist and have a variety of hobbies to reduce stress. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't have crazy, reckless sex with strangers.
"If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed."
That bullshit was a "vanity card" which is text broadcast at the end of an episode. He did that on Feb. 14th. Sheen was caught unaware at home and was SUPER pissed. I can't blame him.
All of this is out there for anybody who wants to see. But the news media for the most part ignored all that shit and just went with what they thought would get big ratings.
So now Charlie Sheen has made a ton of money for both CBS and all the cable news channels.
I guess we'll all see how well that the number one rated show on CBS does with John Stamos playing the lead character. Wonder how much money CBS just lost because Chuck Lorre decided to have a pissing contest with his star performer (who never missed a single day of work and kicked ass at his job) and then poke him publicly with a stick with episode ending "vanity card" statements attacking Sheen.
This shit ain't as cut and dried as all you moralistic grandma's are making it out to be sitting up on your high and mighty seats judging everything. Sheen has made an easy target of himself because he's having fun. But that doesn't mean he is to blame for this.
