The problem is that the public is wiser now, and it is very difficult to make a chat sale anymore. A chat agent who could find 10 or more customers online in a week 5 years ago can today maybe find 1 or 2. Some weeks not even that.
There aren't that many places you can live on the income from one or 2 sales a week anymore, maybe the Philippines but I doubt it.
So before long the chatters begin to realize that instead of 1 or 2 sales a week, what they actually have in their hands is one or two customers a week, dumb enough to fill out a credit card submit form at their request.
Once that realization is made, it simply becomes a question of finding more inventive ways to screw these dumbasses over.
Selling 10 or 15 different programs to the same guy, getting him to wire money via western union to "sick relatives", or send money for a plane ticket so they can get married, the chatters grab on to these idiots who are getting more scarce by the day and don't let go till they've squeezed the last dollar out.
When the dumbass customers finally wake up they are furious and the only recourse they have is to charge back the credit card transactions.
That's where the chargebacks come from, its not the carding, carders are stupid and easy to catch. It's the ongoing scamming that chatters do that makes it ultimately a losing game.
