I left home when I was sixteen. My father died when I was a baby, and I got social security. I re-routed that money directly to me and while it wasn't a lot, with that money and a part time job I could live on my own. I moved to Massachusetts, lived with friends, and enrolled in school there until I was caught. Then I moved to Cananda, outside of Montreal, until I was deported.
I returned "home" to NJ when I was seventeen and a half, lived with a friend, and a short time later joined the Marines. I did not graduate high school, but went to what would have been my high school graduation as a US Marine.
I eventually went to college so I'm good. I happy with the way things worked out.
