I did a test on a new i7 with 4GB ram... Opened up 3-4 programs (don't remember witch) and then started opening all the office progs. All of them started within 2 sec. Impressing! So I am very confident that I will be able to run all my regular programs and then some, without problems.
Now, to be fair with my old Asus, when I boot into Linux it is very fast and nice so I will keep it as a spare
