What matter is what the 2 scenes sold for. In the 7 years since we shot the 2 scenes sales of each set and video and each set exceeded 100 each. ! set @ $45, 1 @ $40, 1 video and set at $70 and 1 at $80.
OK we now sell scenes or sets for $30, not a set and a video. 100 x 4 $30. That's $12,000 at today budget prices. That would make it $23,500. Plus blow outs a nice income from non exclusive. Plus magazines, plus DVD. that day easily cleared $25,000.
Remember non exclusive is saturated and you can't do that without selling it. And magazine first rights is $5000 a set. Second rights will probably make $2,500. DVD is all money on top. And we still sell the content.
And that what pays out bills even today after not shooting for 2.5 years.
