One of the things I really love about forums and shows is the opportunity to get to know other webmaster folks better.
I think most of us have met people at shows, who seemed likable at the time, but who turned out not to be good people to do business with.
Sometimes you get to know someone better and that good first impression does not last or at least is kinda messed up by later actions. That doesn't mean that the person was not fun to be around. I don't think I ever met Mallick specifically, but, although I may think, "oh bummer, guy seemed cool," when someone disappoints, I might not post that thought.
I'm guessing it is safe to assume the general thought from someone who remembers having a good time with Mallick is something along the lines of: "oh bummer, guy seemed cool."
