:stoned Model Management Website

This is another more complicated site that I have been waiting to get around to. This will undergo many changes over time, but right now in version one, this needs to handle MY immediate needs. Which is model management.

I want a site that works like, but is a upgraded version of Model Mayhem.

1. Social Network: (v.1)

It must allow the models to make a profile and enter their details, and pictures. While I would like something a bit more professional than MM's site, it does serve the basic function for....

* Pictures
* Physical Stats
* Location
* Web Site
* Comments
* An "About" Area
* Friends
* Block This Member

2. Newsletter: (v.1)

It must have a newsletter, or solid email management back end.

I want to be able to email my models for when there is a shoot coming up. This will help me eliminate all phone calls, IM and the rest of that nonsense. There will need to be added functionality over time when I allow others to register. Right now I want to be able to simply communicate with MY models in version one.

3. Moderation Queue: (v.2)

Once I get this online, over time I would expect to get models beyond my own. So there needs to be an admin or mod back end for approving profiles, banning members, etc.. This would include moderation of 'flagged' profiles or images.

4. Browse: (v.1)

Depending on what kind of open source, or social network platform you build this on, some of these things may be included. But I would need a BROWSE function that is set up more for finding local models in your area than a date. You can refer to OneModelPlace and ModelMayhem to see how they handle this for Casting.

You should also be able to browse according to the model ID number in a search box.

5. VIP/Paid: (v.2)

This does not need to be in v.1, but this will be rolled out in v.2. I mention this so you can plan accordingly in the CMS. I will need to set up a PAID upgrade or VIP type of set up. Photographers and producers will need to PAY for this whether monthly recurring, or annually (I have not decided).

Models will also have the option for this, and will get some added features. Being able to add more pictures, bigger pictures, or whatever. There will be more worked up for it when we cross that bridge.

6. Adult: (v.2)

This is also part of the VIP/Paid section that can roll out later versions. You will need to be a paying member to even get access (browse) to this. Which should help eliminate the underage eyeballs. Models will be able to post adult nudes, adult jobs, or whatever in this. If you are a free member, you cannot browse, read or post.

7. Payment API: (v.1)

Since we are going to be doing memberships, and paid memberships, you need to be able to integrate the permissions, security, and payment API into the back end for processing. I would actually build this into version one CMS to save you the headaches of dealing with it later. Just do not turn it on or disable it.

I have not decided yet on Paypal, Third Party, or Merchant Account for this.

8. Design: (v.1)

I like the simplicity of the profiles in MM versus OMP. However, on the main page of OMP, I do like the rolling feed of updated pictures, new members, and so forth. So the main page can be similar to OMP in that regard, but toned down a notch or two in colors and mess. For the profiles, I prefer something more professional and clean like MM.

While there are plenty of other add ons, and features I can think of to put in over time. This first version is really to help ME in the handling, recruiting, and communication of MY models. But I am keeping a mindful eye for the next version which will open up to a larger audience. But we are just looking to get the basics done for the first roll out.

I prefer this site, like my other, be built in a modular fashion so we can easily plug in new features and take them out without having to completely rebuild a site from scratch. I prefer it be done in PHP or a common language that is easy to get programmers and developers for should the main one disappear.

As always, feel free to post up your experience, and working examples of sites or projects you have done on this scale. This is a long term project, and I am looking for a serious developer who can handle all stages of it. I do not want to have to hire multiple people if it can be avoided.

Fire away ladies.
