I think they will drop as they will want to make room for new stock... MWC may not prove to be the release date for all the handsets but it will give us all a sneak preview as to what's coming later in the year!

Yeah its not an easy transition to a full touch screen... i guess that's one of the reasons the BBs have held firm in the market. Have you looked at the HTC Desire Z (have been some issues with the hinge). Check out this HTC concept phone

I would go for the original as well unless you like the QWERTY then check out the Z but its a little chunky and the HD is a little to large me
