I offer sales from time to time. With a good domain and pricing it often comes down to the right buyer and I meeting up at the right time. If someone is interested in one of my domains I'd bet 9 times out of 10 a deal is made. Sales are offered to encourage some people who may want to jump in the game to take the next step. If no one does at the reduced price that is fine.
And to answer your question, yes, at 5PM the prices will go back up.
