During my time selling office furniture I was fortunate enough to meet many people who managed, ran or owned companies of this size. They hardly have time to lunch.
It's in their nature to be hands on, to want to get involved and to fill their day with everything they possible can. They had the drive, ambition and skills to get to that position. The last thing they would do is delegate to 2 people and troll on GFY.
They retire and go fishing or do jigsaws
, but while they work they want to be involved and in control of everything. Too scared some underling might miss something and tomorrow it will all be gone.
