The same can be said for any type of current events The NYT, WSJ, and Times Online all have Cairo headlines this morning. What good does it do anyone to read about that? Sure, doing so may give people the illusion that they're engaging in an intellectual activity, but current events are current events .
For my current events, I prefer reading The Economist, anything about Premier League/International football,anything about the Lakers, and the occasional Charlie Sheen incident.
