Why not then just take the guy to your local county court and get a judgement against him? Most people simply file for the max of $5,000 in small claims court because they know that they can get a judgement there with little cost to themselves. This is done all the time by creditors who are owed anything under 20 grand.

With a court judgement you can:
Present the judgement at this bank and have the money withdrawn in your name;
you can garnish his wages at this workplace;
you can contact HIS county sheriff to cease and auction his valuables.

Seriously, I see a lot of crying here on GFY over how someone owe someone money and are not getting paid.

GROW UP AND GET A PAIR! This is a business, not some sort of gentile-mens social club.
