Trust me, most of these idiots who are saying that it sucks are saying so for one of the following reasons:
1. They were expecting a girl to pop out of the bottle and blow them.
2. They don't know champagne and would not appreciate the subtleties that make high end champagnes different from one another. You really have to build your way up to it. That makes it somewhat understandable as to how someone might like the $100 PJ better. They might be able to tell the difference between the $40 PJ and the $100 PJ, but not the $100 PJ and the $300 Cristal. When you're able to tell the difference between something like the $100 PJ or the Veuve Ponsardin or an off vintage Dom, then you take the step up to better vintage Doms, Krug, and Cristal.
3. They are put off by the hip hop/flashy image of the brand. An image the company itself has tried to distance itself from.
4. They were offended by comments the Roederer CEO made when giving his own opinion about all the hip hop shout outs. Comments that led Jay Z to boycott.
5. They think it's fun to say it sucks because they enjoy playing the role of a contrarian even if they've never tried it.
6. They were already drunk when they drank it.
