Can't speak for today other than the remarkable feat of users who have only been there a few months having 1000s of uploads, but people did fully connect the dots when they were still Mansef and their people were uploading videos to Pornhub. That was back when they denied even being connected to tubes at all and were flat out lying to everyone about it.
After they were exposed for not only owning tubes but for also having uploaders, they got smarter and covered their tracks much better. They won't slip like that again.
There are lots of shady things some tubes do, it's not just limited to stealing and uploading your content.
