BTW, even if many here do not believe gideon, he is correct on removing content we have no reason to remove... its discriminating against the others. Although it might not be obvious, we could still be sued about it.
This is why DMCA requires a counter notice to the submitter of the content when a DMCA notice comes in. If the submitter says he DOES own the copyright, we have to actually check in detail who is correct.
DMCA is not as simple as many people think.
Also, just because a user has uploaded infringing content, for example 5 out of 100 videos get a DMCA. That does not make the other 95 pieces of content red flags.
I'm sure now RycEric will post another one of his wisdom "you all suck ass" things... but I'm ok with that...
