You can't blame someone for feeling that way. History has shown that the industry does not reward those who chose to take a stand for the good of the industry- be it against tube sites, accacia, spyware, etc.
If you make a stand against something, you have to do it for your own reasons. Do it because you have morals, do it because you're subborn, do it because you are proud, but don't do it because you think you will gain more affiliates. Do it for yourself or don't do it at all. Few people back their complaints with where they send their business, and the companies that have backed spyware and tube sites have reaped the financial benefits.
I can understand someone feeling like they got burned over taking a stand against something and then not wanting to take a stand again, but just because you got burned doesn't mean you should shit on other people for chosing to make a stand of their own.
