right mouse click on Computer
goto Properties
click Advanced system settings on left-side menu
click on Advanced tab
goto Performance Settings
select Adjust for best Performance and apply if you miss older interface ;)

this will roll back windows classic interface and get rid of aero effects
i used to do this with XP because hated their blue fake plastic looking theme.
